Who makes Thumbtel?
Meet Andy
Andy is the founder and CEO of Thumbtel and has worked in the tech industry for over 25 years. Way back in 1999 (yes, there were mobile phones back then!) he felt mobile networks could offer their customers more, so he founded VoxSurf. By pioneering the world’s first web and open standards IP messaging technology, VoxSurf provided this tech to over 400 million end-users globally, via traditional mobile operators. And then what? In 2008, Andy decided to offer these services directly to consumers as Hullomail, which now makes up part of Thumbtel.
Andy has authored several cloud and mobile messaging technology patents and helps our Lab customers make technological leaps with their mobile solutions, in areas requiring mission critical messaging such as regulated financial services.
Graham
Graham, our Non-Exective Chairman first met Andy when he was a Director at T Mobile and has worked with Thumbtel in an advisory role since since 2009.
Chris
Dan
With 22 years of technical and commercial experience, Dan oversees our project delivery and service operations. He first worked with Andy 2001 as a software developer and has since held positions within Professional Services, Operations and as CTO.
Hung
Hung joined us fresh out of university and has stayed ever since. Nothing is released to our customers before it’s been verified by Hung and passes his rigorous testing process. He also helps out with escalated support issues.
Supasit
Supasit is our head mobile developer, based in our Thai office, which we opened in 2008 during a deployment with a local operator. He’s been with us since 2011 and is great at solving design problems that Andy and the team throw at him.
Ally
Ally looks after our marketing. She’s involved in all product releases, blogs about all things Thumbtel, productivity, app tips and tricks and keeps our social media up to date.
Jon
Also based in Thailand, Jon joined Thumbtel around 6 years ago and manages customer support. If you’re in need of assistance with hullomail or another number then Jon is likely to be your first port of call and he’s always happy to help.
